We can trust that the content of the document is not altered in transit. It also provides the details of Origin of the document, date of origin and consent of the one who signs.
Digital Signature Certificate(DSC), a secured Digital key should be obtained first from the Certifying authorities who has been granted license by Ministry of Corporate Affairs. National Informatics Centre, NSDL, E-Mudra are some of the certifying authorities.
There are three types of Digital Signature Certificates. Class 1 Certificates are for individual or private subscribers. Class 2 Certificates are issued for both private individuals and business personnel. Vendors who wish to participate in the online tenders must have a class 3 DSC.
